Teaching - Behavioural Biology

The staff members of Behavioural Biology are involved every year in teaching at BSc-level on Behavioural Biology, Animal Cognition, Neurobiology, and Animal Ecology in a course for first-year students, a 4-weeks theoretical course, and a 4 weeks field course for second-year students. We also organize every year a seminar series at MSc-level on one of three topics, which we alternate: Animal Cognition, Behaviour & Conservation, and Biological Basis of Human Behaviour. In addition, we participate in the coordination and teaching of two minors (Brain & Cognition and Evolution), and we contribute to several other courses, such as General Research Skills, Fundamentals of Evolution, Biodiversity and Conservation, and Trends in Development and Evolution. Besides our target teaching obligations described above, we often give invited lectures at foreign universities, Dutch high schools, public events, or during special courses for older people (HOVO).
