The easiest way is taking the A44 (west of Leiden), not the A4, which passes Leiden at the other side.
Take the exit Leiden/Transferium (number 8) and drive in the direction of Leiden.
You will come to the N206 (Plesmanlaan) and can follow the signs for the Bio-Science Park.
Turn to the left at the second traffic light in the direction of the Bio-Science Park.
Follow the road (Einsteinweg) making a bend till you run up to a roundabout.
At the roundabout, turn to the right into the Max Planckweg.
Almost at the end of the road turn left (’eigen weg’).
This road runs parallel to the main road (Wassenaarseweg).
At the end of the parallel road on the left hand side you will see a big car park in front of the Oort Building.
The Huygens laboratory is reached by passing through the Oort Building
Taking the train to Leiden Central Station takes ca. 10 minutes from The Hague
35 minutes from Amsterdam
30 minutes from Rotterdam
45 minutes from Utrecht.
The bus (from Leiden Central Station):
Bus 57 in the direction of Lisse, exit at bus stop ‘Snellius’
By bike (10 minutes) or by foot (25 minutes) (from Leiden Central Station):
Leave the railway station at the back exit (direction LUMC/Oegstgeest) in the direction of the main entrance of the LUMC.
In front of the LUMC continue going to the right till the end of the parking garage (Albinusdreef).
At the roundabout continue going straight forward, i.e., continue following the Albinusdreef.
At the end of the road, turn to the left into the Wassenaarseweg.
Follow this road till it makes a sharp bend to the right.
Just before this bend, to the left, is the Niels Bohrweg.
The entrance is reached by crossing the car park in the direction of the low catwalk.
