IBL Symposium: Making the Invisible Visible, 19 November 2009

Humans are visual beings, and biologists are no exception: Whether they are plotting two variables on two axes, searching for patterns in a graphical representation of bird song or gene expression, or if they are using a fluorescence microscope to look at single molecules within a cell, they are all making the invisible visible.

For this year’s Institute of Biology Symposium we have asked Leiden’s biologists what forms of visualization they use in their research – and we got answers from almost all research fields at the IBL.
Hear their answers yourself on 19th November 2009 at the Van Steenis building!
